Legal Marijuana

Categories: Blog | Posted on Jan 26, 2018

This is what I understand about what is happening and I could be W A Y wrong. If I am, wrong, Please take a few minutes to enlighten me. This is a MUST READ for marijuana users. At least, think about it. Thanks

We are caught in a catch-22.  Supposedly, it was left up to each state to legalize marijuana or not. HOWEVER, it is still illegal as far as the US government is concerned.  WOW! How confusing is that??? Marijuana businesses are catching hell because ALL those marijuana millions of dollars are NOT insured in any bank because the banks have a federal insurance. (FDIC) Huh? yes, Marijuana big business is trying to find how to protect their money. Wow, was alcohol prohibition this tough?

Now for “the man in the street,” the regular people who are users of marijuana. Those without a doctors recommendation and/o9r prescription (confusing) are having to pay at least 15% use tax on their products PLUS the county tax – Alameda county 9.25%. Talk about a mark up of 25% and an already expensive item. If you happen to have the a marijuana medical card you are exempt for the county tax. BUT, now in order to get the marijuana medical car you must register with your state health department!! Yeah, no shit! From what I think I read, I believe it authorizes the state access to your medical record. WHAT!!?? Check it out.

Here is the real coup de grace (death blow) – if you register with the state who may have access to your health record you are subject to be denied health insurance and life insurance. AND, if you are medicare, medical, any public health services you are subject to be cut OFF –  because marijuana is ILLEGAL TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and all these services are paid by the government.

Please get informed. BEWARE! Because all of this is so new and the pwers that be don’t seem to know their ass form a hole in the ground, the learning curve to get it right may be real tough and the medical marijuana users maybe at real risk. On the other hand, a truly easier way to cut the medicare/cal budget. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Back to the streets – no muss, no fuss, no taxes. You might need more medical care, tho. lol  BEWARE
